Gowan Italia S.r.l. is the result of the evolution of a reality that started in 2000 with the relaunch of the historic Italian company Sariaf. The qualified and appreciated work carried out aroused the interest of the international Gowan Company group, which - starting from 2005 - gradually completed the acquisition of the Company, which has now definitively become Gowan Italia S.r.l., the Italian business unit of the group.
Gowan Italia S.r.l. is a company that operates in the supply of agrochemical products and special fertilizers for professional agriculture to the Italian distribution system.
Gowan Italia offers a wide range of highly effective and reliable technical solutions, specifically dedicated to the protection and nutrition of various agricultural crops (cereal, industrial, fruit, viticultural, field and greenhouse horticultural, etc.), to enhance the productions, in full respect of human health and the environment, safeguarding the income of the agricultural entrepreneur.
“Reliability in agriculture” is the emblem of a project that Gowan Italia continues to develop, looking confidently to the future and pursuing a continuous relationship of collaboration and partnership with its customers, in support of a sustainable agricultural supply chain.
The Gowan Group
Gowan Company is an international group, based in Yuma, Arizona (USA), active in the crop protection sector in over 80 countries around the world. The Company, owned by the Jessen family, was founded in 1962 by Jon Jessen, still Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, now directed by his daughter Juli.
Love, care and protection of crops while respecting the environment are the principles that distinguish Gowan's operational conduct, influencing every decision-making process.
The excellent state of health of the group is confirmed by the continuous investments made at various levels. The strategic acquisitions made over the years and the partnerships with some multinationals in the sector have contributed to the strong growth in the American and global markets.
In recent years Gowan has established close collaborative relationships with other companies or research bodies, with an eye to the most innovative solutions, to be integrated with existing agrochemicals within modern Sustainable Defense programs.
This includes the recent acquisition of Ecoflora®Agro, a company specializing in bio-insecticides and bio-fungicides, which was followed by the creation - within the Gowan group - of a structure specifically dedicated to the development and fine-tuning of new Bio-preparations for the near future.
Finally, in 2021 Gowan completed the acquisition of the historic Italian company Isagro, an unprecedented event which increased the number of proprietary active substances and expanded the group's activity especially in the field of production plants and research and development.
